  • Business/Franchise details

2. Camera Usage and Permissions (App & Web Portal)

To provide specific functionality within our services, our Mobile Application and Web Portal may request access to your device’s camera.

Why we ask for Camera Permission:

We request camera access solely for the purpose of scanning QR codes. This is used for the easy detection and verification of franchisees when placing an order or verifying membership status.

Data Security Regarding Camera Usage:
  • Client-Side Processing Only: The scanning process is performed locally on your device (client-side).

  • No Storage of Camera Feed: We do not record, save, or upload any live video feed or images from your camera to our servers.

  • Data Transmission: Only the text output (the data result) of the scanned QR code is sent to our servers for verification purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect about you via the Portal, Website, and App for the following purposes:

  • Order Processing: To facilitate and manage orders placed through the portal.foachicago.com dashboard or the App.

  • Verification: To verify franchisee identity using account details or QR code scans.

  • Communication: To send you updates, newsletters, and administrative information regarding your account.

  • Service Functionality: To operate and maintain the stability of the Portal and App.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Any personal information or order data we collect is stored securely in our databases.

  • Scope: This storage policy applies to data collected via foachicago.com, portal.foachicago.com, and the Mobile Application.

  • Retention: We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or to comply with our legal obligations (such as record-keeping for tax and accounting).

However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure. A. Access and Correction

B. App and Portal Permissions (Camera)

You have the full right to control the permissions granted to our App and Web Portal.

  • Disable Access: You may disable the camera permission at any time through your device’s settings (on iOS: Settings > Privacy > Camera; on Android: Settings > Apps > Permissions) or your Browser settings.

  • Refusal: You may choose not to grant camera permission at all. Note that if you deny permission, the QR scanning feature for easy ordering will not function, but you may still be able to use other parts of the Portal or App manually.

C. Account Deletion

You may request that we delete your account and associated data by contacting us at the details provided below.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
